Water Pump Servicing9.915 Disassembly
1Remove gearcase from exhaust housing as described in Gear-
case Servicing, this section
2Remove the four impeller housing screws
3Remove the impeller housing and impeller by sliding them up and off the driveshaftThen remove the impeller drive pin and impeller plate 4Remove and discard the water tube grommet, O-ring, and seal in the impeller housing5Inspect the impeller, housing, and plate for excessive wear
6Clean the impeller plate and gearcaseAssembly
1Apply ave Gasket Sealing Compound to the metal casing of new driveshaft seal Install the seal in the impeller housing with lip of seal facing into the housing2Apply ave Adhesive to the impeller housing O-ring and install it on the housing
