8Using tool as drawn on Page 4-9, or equivalent, push crankcase taper pin toward intake manifold surfaceDo not use any tool smaller than taper pin bore to remove the pin9Remove the four crankcase flange screws and six main bearing screws10Turn the powerhead so the intake manifold surface faces up

11Using rawhide mallet, lightly tap upward on the crankshaft until the halves just begin to separateLift up and remove the crankcase
