[]] 5Remove the starter pawl retaining screwwasher (Q, and starter pawl plate with plate return spring from the starter assembly
rn 6Removewasher from the starter and the starter pawl the starter housing spring with spring assembly[]] 7Using screwdriver, pry open the pulley lock ringand remove ring from the starter
[[] 8Remove the friction plates and friction plate spring
9Hold the pulley in the starter housing while turning the starter over, legs downHold fingers clear of the pulley and jar the starter housing against bench to dislodge the rewind spring and pulleyRemove the pulley bushing from the pulley
