Stator Servicing12 Amp Removal
To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
1Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing, Page 3-82Disconnect stator yellow and yellowgray leads at terminal board3Separate the stator 5-pin Amphenol connectorRemove the blackyellow stop circuit lead from terminal "E"
4Remove stator retaining screws
Installation
1Remove any varnish around retaining screw holes on both sides of statorThe stator must have metal to metal contact with the crankcase head and its retaining screws2Position the stator on adapter and route the leads
3Apply OMC Nut Lock to mounting screwsInstall screws and torque them to 120-144 inIbs(14-16 Nm)4Attach stator yellow and yellowgray leads to terminal boardCoat final connection with CIVIC Black Neoprene Dip5Install blackyellow stop circuit lead in 5-pin Amphenol connector, terminal "E"6Install the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing, Page 3-8
