Ignition Component ReplacementAmp 1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads&
2Remove the screws retaining the ignition component that is being replaced3Remove the wire clamp
from the ignition plate
4Loosen the five ignition plate screwsLift the ignition plate from the powerhead5Remove the plate from bottom of the ignition plate
6Remove the leads from the spiral wrap and from the ignition component7Apply OMC Ultra Lock to the threads of the component retaining screwsLoosely install the new ignition component on the ignition plateConnect bullet connectors if necessary8Route leads and install clamp wrap
