Throttle Plate Synchronization
1Loosen cam follower adjustment screw and move cam follower away from throttle cam2Loosen carburetor lever adjustment screw on upper carburetor 3Rotate both throttle shafts slightly and allow them to snap shut
rn 4Press up gently on the adjusting tab and tighten the adjustment screw 5Verify that both throttle shafts begin to rotate at exactly the same timeCam Pickup Point 1Move the throttle cam and cam follower toward each other
2Tighten the cam follower adjustment screw when lower pickup mark CD on the cam and cam follower are just touching The carburetor throttle plates must be closed
W The lower pickup mark CD must point to the center of the
cam followerIdle Speed 1The boat and engine must be in the water under normal operating conditions with the correct propeller installedThe boat's movement must be unrestrained The boat must not be tied to dock or trailer2Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating tem peratu re3Check idle RPM in FORWARD gear with an accurate tachometer
