Starter Circuit CheckAll Models INotel Battery must be fully charged
Procedure Remove black lead from ground at CDConnect voltmeter between CD and common engine groundTurn key to START positionVoltmeter should show battery Connect meter atTurn key to START position
Result aIf no reading, go to Step
II Check voltage between ground and CD& Steps" thru IIRemove II Check voltage between ground
andstarter to solenoid cable from (1) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
bIf meter reads battery voltage, reconnect black lead to ground and go to Step
I Note Steps thru Turn key OFF before connecting and disconnecting meterTurn key to START position after connecting
aIf meter reads battery voltage, lead is open between CD and
bIf no reading, go to Step
