1Avoid accidental start-up while servicing engine; twist and remove all spark plug leads
2Turn the retainer knob located in the middle of the air silencer and remove the silencer from the engineDisconnect the drain hose from the nipple at the bottom of the silencer3Remove the choke link from carburetor choke lever4Remove the throttle linkage
