RectifierRegulator Replacement Removal
INote Disconnect battery cables at battery before proceeding
1Remove the power pack
2Swing the electrical component bracket away from the powerhead to expose the rectifierregulator3Remove rectifierregulator red lead from starter solenoid4Loosen and remove the retaining screws and the rectifier regulatorInstallation
1Coat both sides of new gasket ith avIC Gasket Sealing Compound and install gasket and new rectifierregulator2Coat the threaded portion of the retaining screws with avIC Gasket Sealing Compound and install them The front center screws have star washersTighten them to torque of 36-84 inIbs(4-9 Nm)3Attach the rectifierregulator red lead to the battery side of the starter solenoid4Install the electrical component bracket to the powerhead5Install the power pack6Reconnect battery cablesTest operation as described in th is section
