removed, apply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Screw Lock to the brush card screws before installing
Correctly route the brush leads, and install the springs and brushesCompress the springs with modified putty knife
1Note Incorrect orientation of brushes could damage the starter or cause reverse rotation
2Apply OMC Extreme Pressure Grease to the gear housing armature bearing Install the thrust washer and armature
3Orient the starter framethe long alignment mark will match the mark next to the positive terminal stud on the gear housing
4Push the armature down firmly and slide the frame into placeAlign the notches in the gear housing and frame5Install insulator cap on end of shaft
