Powerhead Servicing
INote This section contains certain service procedures unique to
power steering equipped enginesIf your engine does not have power steering, skip those steps and go to the next procedure in sequenceRemoval
& To avoid accidental starting of engine, twist and remove all
spark leads before beginning service
INote Because ofthe number and types of fasteners (screws and
nuts) it might be appropriate to reinstall fasteners in their holes as engine components are removedThis will simplify identification and assembly
1Remove bracket supporting power steering hosesRemove screw, flat washer, and locknut
2Be sure that spring clip is installed on the port and starboard lower pan supportsRemove the overboard indicator hose and grommet
