Preliminary Adjustments
1Turn the ignition stop switch knob fully counterclock-

[] 2Turn the throttle arm stop screw and the wide open throttle stop screw until the plastic caps are closest to the throttle arm[] 3Loosen the throttle cable lock nut and use the throttle cable thumb wheel to center cable travelI Note Throttle cable will travel past normal maximum settings in both directions when thumb wheel is properly adjusted
[] 4Tighten locknut [[] 5There should be approximately seven threads exposed on the timer base link [[] 6The rear edge ofthe spark lever should be flush with the spark lever slide Adjust spark lever slide screw CD as necessaryCam Pickup Point

[[] 1Before proceeding, ensure that the throttle cam follower screw Q) is still loose[] 2While holding the cam follower against throttle cambegin to adjust the throttle arm stop screw until the cam and the cam follower are touching at bisect point on the throttle cam[] 3When the throttle arm stop screw is properly adjusted and the cam and the cam follower are touching at the bisect point, tighten the cam follower screw Q)Do not readjust the throttle arm stop screw after this stepINotel There must be 0.005 in(0,13 mm) clearance between the throttle cam and cam follower to ensure that all throttle plates are closed at idleWide Open Throttle Stop
