Electric Starter Service9.9 (211 cc) Removal

INote Disconnect the battery cables at the batteryIT] IT]
1Remove the two retaining screws2Disconnect the starter lead at the terminal on the bottom of the starter

Disassembly

Note Before disassembly, scribe alignment marks on the frame and end caps for reference during reassembly
1Remove two thru-bolts from starter motorTap the brush end cap and carefully remove it to prevent the loss of springs under the two ground brushes and insulated brushes
