11Remove the shifter spring and the clutch dog from the propeller shaft [J1]

12Remove seal saver and O-ring from gearcase head
13Remove the forward gear by rotating the gear under the pinion

14Tilt the gearcase and remove the shift cam12

15Remove the pinion, two thrust washers, and thrust bearing16Inspect the forward bearing race in placeIf necessary, remove the race using OIVK: Small Puller Assembly, PIN 432131, and OIVK: Slide Hammer, PIN 432128
