8Install overboard indicator, breather, and thermostat hoses to powerhead
9Install the filter and pickup hose on the powerhead and secure with tie strap
Installation
1Be sure mating surfaces of the powerhead and exhaust housing are clean and free of oil, grease, and foreign matterInstall new base gasket, bead facing exhaust housing, and install powerheadand exhaust seal are in proper position with ONIC Gasket Sealing Compound applied
INote Be sure water seal O-ring
2Apply ONIC Nut Lock to powerhead retaining screws and torque to 15-17 ftIbs(20-23 Nm)3Attach shift rod to shift arm4If equipped with steering handle, attach handle and components as described in Section 55Install ignition components as described in Section 36Install fuel components as described in Section 27Install electrical components as described in Section 88Install the lower engine covers
