Ground Test 1Disconnect two orange wire bullet connectors between stator and power pack2Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"

Any reading indicates power coil is grounded locate and repair ground, or replace stator assembly4If no reading is indicated in Step 3, go to Output TestOutput Test
1Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"2Attach meter black lead to one orange stator leadAttach meter red lead to the other orange stator lead If meter shows 60 volts or higher on 56 models, 100 volts or higher on 89.9 models, go to STEPCHARGE COIL TEST If meter shows less than specified voltage, check condition of wiring and connectors If wiring and connector condition is good, go to Ohmmeter Test
