Note Before proceeding, be sure that all parts are cleanBe sure :hat all replacement parts match original onesReplace all gasets, O-rings, and sealing washers each time you assemble 1Install accelerator rod plungerdiaphragmand spring ilVith cover onto float chamberInstall screw to retain in place2Install accelerator pump rod retainerwith large diameter into float chamberInstall accelerator rod into rod retainer3Install the float chamber and accelerator pump assembly to the carburetor bodyBe sure end cap is in position between the accelerator rod and throttle shaft cam
4Press the air vent in the carburetor body

1 7Install the hinge pinfloatand float valve 151
8Check for correct positioning of the float levelThe float level controls the height of fuel in the float chamber and is critical with regard to carburetor calibration and function
Turn carburetor upside down and hold so gasket surface
is horizontalThe weight of the float will close the float valve needleRest OMC Float Gauge, PIN 324891, on gasket surface and slide gauge up, next to floatTop of float should be between notches on gauge
