[] 1Set tappets for No1 piston using OMC Tappet Adjustment Tool, PI 341444, and feeler gauge: Intake (upper rocker)0.003 in(0,08 mm) Exhaust (lower rocker)0.005 in(0,12 mm) Torque tappet nuts to 10-20 inIbs(1,1-2,3 Nm)2Rotate crankshaft pulley clockwise one revolution (360)This will rotate camshaft pulley one-half revolution (180) so the pointer faces opposite the extrusion on the manual starter boss3Set tappets for No.2 piston in same fashion to the same specifications as No1 piston
4Apply a,nc Triple-Guard grease to new a-ring seal and install it inside of coverApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to screw threads and install cover on headTorque to 84-106 inIbs(10-12 Nm) in stages in the sequence shown
