Cylinder Block and Crankcase
1Remove and discard O-rings from dowel pins in cylinder blockRemove and replace dowel pins, if necessary2Remove ten crankcase-to-cylinder block screws
3Tap on crankcase with plastic or leather mallet to separate crankcase from cylinder block4Push bearings out of crankcase and retain for inspection
5Inspect crankcase mating surfaces, and bearing and seal machined radii for scratches or damage6Mark connecting rods and rod caps for position and to match sides for assemblyrod cap is unique and can only be installed on its mated connecting rod
