Installation 1Install the flywheel key:
[] Install the key with its outer edge parallel to centerline of crankshaft and single upset mark facing down2Clean the crankshaft and flywheel tapers with OMC Cleaning Solvent and let dryThese surfaces must be clean and dry to allow proper locking of the tapers3Align the flywheel keyway and install flywheelCoat the threads of the flywheel nut with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundInstall the nut and torque to 45-50 ftIbs(60-70 Nm)DR2116
Spark Plug Information
The spark plugs should be removed and examined spark plug should be replaced if the electrodes are badly worn, if it has cracked insulator, or is badly fouledBefore installing the spark plug lead cover on the spark plug, apply light coating of OMC Electrical Grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramic and to the opening of the spark plug coverThis will help prevent corrosion between the spring terminal and the spark plug which can cause high tension arcing
