45To assemble the thermostat, insert pin into vernatherm with convex end of pin facing out46Position vernatherm in sealPosition retainer and spring in thermostat housingAssemble halves
47Install the thermostat assembly into the cylinder head with the pin end of thermostat facing out48Lightly coat both sides of new thermostat cover gasket with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundPosition the relief spring
49Install the thermostat coverApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of the cover screwsInstall the screws and torque them to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
