Indexing Flywheel, Erratic Ignition Internal power pack problems could cause module to fire erratically or continuouslyTo troubleshoot this situation, you must determine that each cylinder is firing at the correct time and no more than once per revolution1Disconnect the spark plug leads and remove all spark plugs
'1l 2Place the eraser end of pencil in the No.2 spark plug hole
Slowly, turn the flywheel, by hand clockwise, until the greatest length of the pencil is outside the spark plug holeThis indicates the No.2 piston is near top dead center
3Mark the flywheel rim, directly across from the timing
pointerLabel this mark "No2"
4Repeat Steps and for each of the remaining cylinders,
labeling the marks with the correct cylinder number
