3Carefully remove the oil supply hose from the pump's oil inlet fitting[] 4Install and secure 10 in(25 em) length of V4 in(6,35 mm) I.Dclear vinyl hoseA few inches from the loose end, measure carefully and mark the hose every'h in(12,7 mm) for inches (101,6 mm)

5Fill the hose with Evinrude or Johnson Outboard Lubricant and run the engine to eliminate air from the base of the hoseShut off the engine and add or eliminate oil until its level is even with the highest ma rk6Start the engine and monitor the pump cycles by using fuel pressure gauge or putting light finger pressure on the outlet hoseThroughout the RPM range, the oil level in your hose should drop inches (76 mm) between to pulses7If you results vary, check the pulse limiter fitting before repairing the pump8If you remove pump, carefully cut the hose to avoid damaging the fittingWhen installing, use ra tchet style clamp on the oil supply hoseTorque the screws, VRO-to-bracket, to 18-24 inIbs(2-3 Nm)Refer to Hose Routing Chart, this Section
