AssemblyNote Make no dry assembliesLubricate bearings, shafts, and gears with OIVIC Ultra-HPF gearcase lube1Oil and install new bearing in aft end of the bearing housing using OIVIC Bearing Installer, PI 335820Press against the lettered side of the bearing to prevent damage to the bearing when insta lling Press the bearing into the housing until the tool is seated on the housing[] 2Oi and install new bearing in the forward end of the bearing housing using OIVIC Bearing Installer, PI 321428Press against the lettered side of the bearing until the tool is seated on the bearing housing

Sealing Compound to the metal casing of the seals before in stalling Install the inner seal with lip facing into the bearing housing and install the outer seal with lip facing away from the bearing housing Apply OIVIC Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing4Lightly apply OIVIC Triple-Guard grease to new bearing housing -ringPlace the a-ring in groove of the bearing housing[] 5Oil and install the forward bearing cup into the gearcaseUse OIVIC Drive Handle, PI 311880, and OMC Bearing Cup Installer, PI 319929Support nose of gearcase on the floor and seat the cup firmly in the gearcase6Coat the shift rod a-ring with OMC Triple-Guard grease and install in shift rod bushing[] 7Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the outside diameter of the bushingInstall the bushing and washer using OIVIC Shift Rod Bushing Installer, PIN 304515COA3319
