Gearcase Servicing Removal
avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
2Mark the trim tab position for reference, then remove the trim tabRemove the propeller from the gearcaseInspect the condition of the propeller hub
3Drain the gearcase by first removing the oil level plugthen the oil filldrain plug
4Remove both water intake screens
Remove any paint from the upper shift rod before disassembling the shift rod connectors5Disengage the shift rod using two open-end wrenches
