Packard Connector Servicing Terminal Removal tab on the back side of the terminal engages shoulder in the connector's body to hold the terminal in place
m 1Pry seal out of connector3Insert tool, such as the one shown, into the connector above the terminal to push the tab down
2Slightly pull on wire to move tab
away from
shoulder
m 4Push the tool and wire out of the connectorTerminal Installation The terminal must be pulled into the connector to lock it in placeBefore installing new terminal on wire, insert the wire through the seal and connector[] 1The tab on the terminal must extend enough to lock the terminal in place inside the connectorIf the tab isn't extended, use thin tool and bend it outward slightly2Pull terminal into connector3Push seal into connector until seatedDRC5940
