1Remove the foot pedal hinge pin Drive the pin out, away from the speed control switch2Turn the speed control switch to OFF

capacitorRemove one arc suppressor lead from terminal strip or speed control switch
rn 4Connect ohmmeter to arc suppressor leads:
The meter must show no continuity(The meter may show momentary continuity, then go to infinity(0If meter shows continuity, replace arc suppressor
