Tilt Limit SwitchFasTrak

If the engine contacts the boat's motor wel when fully tilted, adjust the tilt limit cam to lower full -tilt position: Use the trimtilt switch and trim the engine IN all the way Push the LOWER adjustment tab UP to reduce the maximum tiltPush the UPPER adjustment tab DOWN to increase the maximum tilt position Verify your adjustment by tilting the engine fully, using the trimtilt switch Repeat this procedure until the tilt limit switch stops the engine's upward travel before it contacts the motor well

INotel Adjusting the tilt limit cam will not prevent the engine from overriding the adjustment if the engine is tilted manually or if it strikes an underwater object at high speed If the engine contacted the motor well before the tilt limit cam was adjusted, it can do so again from high speed impact or manual operationTo prevent damage to equipment, you should provide additional motor well clearance when it's neededConsider either changing the engine mounting position or modifying the boat if the possibility for interference and damage exists
