Description of OperationFas Trak FasTrak TI" power trimtilt unit is completely contained between the engine's stern bracketsThe system consists of:
Electric motor Oil reservoir Pump manifold assembly that contains all valving Cylinder body that contains two trim cylinders and one tilt cylindershock absorber

Push the UP switch and the electric motor drives the hydraulic pump, forcing oil into the bottoms of the trim cylinders and the tilt cylinderBecause of mechanical and hydraulic advantage, the engine is moved the first 21 (trim range) primarily by the trim cylindersOnly the tilt cylinder moves the engine through the final 54 (tilt range)
INote While positioned in the tilt range, the engine will operate
at low throttle setting onlyPushing the DOWN switch pumps fluid only into the top of the tilt cylinderThe engine tilts down and trims in, pushing the trim cylinders in as it travelsManual Operation The engine can be positioned manually anywhere within its 75 oftravel by first opening (loosening) the manual release valveaccessible with screwdriver through hole on the outside of the port stern bracketRefer to Manual ReleaseUP and Manual ReleaseDOWN in this section for details of positioning the engine manually and for details of system operations while moving the engine manuallyA trim gauge is provided with the motorA sending unit is installed on the port stern bracket that is accessible when the engine is fully tilted
