Driveshaft Bearing Housing Service
The driveshaft bearing housing is not serviceableReplace the bearing housing if the bearing is worn or damagedAlsoinspect the driveshaft bearing surface if bearing is damaged
1Remove and discard the driveshaft bearing housing seal using OMC Puller Bridge, PIN 432127and OMC Large Puller Jaws, PI 4321292Remove and discard the a-ring from the bearing housing
3Clean the bearing housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal bore and the a-ring groove
4Install new seal in the bearing housing using OMC Seal Installer, PIN 341439Apply oil to casing of the seal before installingPlace back of seal against tool and install it until tool is seatedApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing5Lightly apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to new -ringInstall the a-ring in top groove of the bearing housing DR5721
