Forward Gear, Propeller Shaft, and Bearing Housing Servicing 1Remove and discard the bearing housing O-rings2Remove the anode and discard it if it's more than 113 deterioratedClamp the bearing housing by the anode bosses in vise as shown
IT] 3Remove the forward gear assembly by unscrewing it with OMC Spanner, PIN 432400 (V6) or PIN 432399 (V8)INotel V8The forward gear assembly is serviced as an assemblyDo not attempt to disassemble it
4Remove the set screws and remove the flange5Remove the shim from either the flange or forward gear6Remove the thrust bearing
