2Clean the starter components in solvent and dry with compressed air
3Examine the starter housing and pulley for sharp edges and
rough surfaces that could fray the starter ropeFile and polish to remove

Clamp spri.ng winder base in viseInsert release plate Into spring wmder base8Apply Lubriplate 777 to the rewind springInstall the rewind spring into the spring winder base with open loop of spring facing inward 9Insert the crankhandle pin into the spring loop10Secure the crankhandle to the base using retaining screw11Rotate the crankhandle in clockwise direction until end of spring contacts the winder base
