5 STEPCHARGE COIL TEST
Ground Test
1Disconnect 2-pin Amphenol connector between stator and power pack2Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"f51 3Alternately, connect voltmeter between stator connector, terminalsA", "8", and clean engine tI groundCrank engine and observe meter at each connection Any reading means the charge coil is grounded Locate ground and repair, or replace the stator assembly4If no reading is indicated in Step 3, go to Output TestOutput Test 1Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"2Attach voltmeter black lead to stator connector, terminal "A" Attach meter red lead to terminal 3Crank engine and observe meter If meter shows 175 volts or higher, go to STEPSENSOR COIL TEST If the meter shows less than 175 volts, check condition of wiring and connectors If wiring and connector condition is good, go to Ohmmeter TestE u
