1Separate blackyellow 1-pin Amphenol connector between engine harness and shift switch
1 To avoid possible shock hazards, do not handle ignition coils or spark tester wires during test2Crank engine and observe results at spark tester: If cylinders 1, 3, and had no sparkand now have spark, go to Ohmmeter TestShift Switch If cylinders 1, 3, and have no spark, go to STEPCHARGE COIL TESTOhmmeter TestShift Switch INotel All ohmmeter tests must be performed with the engine not running[] 1Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect ohmmeter between shift switch connector and clean ground If meter shows low reading, replace switch and harness2Close switch contacts by pushing down on shift cable pin If meter shows high reading, replace switch and harness
