Intake Manifold Servicing Removal 1Follow steps listed in Carburetor Removal, this sectionr:jl 2Remove the carburetors as an assemblyDo not remove any throttle shaft links3Cut the tie straps securing the fuel distribution manifolds, and remove the fuel system4Remove retaining screws, and remove the intake manifold assemblyV6, vathe lower manifold must be removed firstrJl 5If you are removing the upper manifold, remove the throttle cam nut and washer, and tilt the manifold to release the camDisassembly 1Remove the two screws per leaf plate assembly, and remove the leaf plate assemblies as requiredThe leaf plate assemblies contain no serviceable parts, so do not disassemble them
