Throttle Plate Synchronization
IN tel Apply light pressure to throttle plates during this procedure
o to make sure they close completelyf31 1Before synchronizing the throttle plates, make sure the throttle cam and throttle cam follower are not touchingLoosen the cam follower screwand move the cam follower away from the throttle cam
] 2Back out the carburetor link stop screw turnsf31 3Loosen both carburetor link adjustment screws no more than 12 turnf31 4Turn in carburetor link stop screw until the throttle plates on the port carburetors begin to openThen, back out stop screw enough to close the throttle platesf31 5Carefully tighten both carburetor link adjustment screws while holding ends of carburetor link against stop screw 6Verify operation of throttle valvesPort and starboard carburetor throttle valves must open at the same timef31 7If adjustment is necessary: Loosen carburetor link adjustment screws no more than V2 turnTurn carburetor link stop screw IN or OUT as requiredRepeat Steps and 68Leave the cam follower screw looseDR4241
