Ohmmeter Test

All ohmmeter tests must be performed with the engine not running
[] 1Insert jumper wires in stator connector, terminals "A" and "B"[] 2Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect between jumpersSee chart below
Charge Coil Resistance 6-Amp System 9-Amp System 560 60 Ohms 480 50 Ohms

[] 3To test for grounded condition, connect ohmmeter, alternately, between each jumper and clean engine ground Any needle movement indicates charge coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace stator assembly4Complete all circuits disconnected during this test
