Starter Circuit Check, 20-30 Remote
INote Battery must be fully chargedStep Procedure Remove black lead from ground at CDConnect voltmeter between CD and common engine groundTurn key to START positionVoltmeter should show battery voltageConnect meter at START positionResult aIf no reading, go to Step
Check voltage between ground Steps thru starter to solenoid cable from (1) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
m-Remove
bIf meter reads battery voltage, reconnect black lead to ground and go to Step
II Check voltage between ground
INote Steps EJ thru
OFF before connecting and disconnecting meterTurn key to START position after connecting
m-Turn key
aIf meter reads battery voltage, lead is open between CD and
bIf no reading, go to Step
II Check voltage between ground
