Installation 1Inspect the starter mountIf the mounts are damaged or worn, rep}ace as follows:
Remove the mount using crescent wrenchApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Screw Lock to threads of new mount
Tighten mount securely2Install caps on starter mounts
3Install the starter lockout cable into the starter housing
4Position the starter assembly onto the motorInstall the three starter housing retaining screwsThe short screw Q) is installed on the port side of the starter housingTighten screws to torque of 48-72 in Ibs(5,4-8 Nm)Check operation of the starter lockoutManual starter must not function when shift handle is in FORWARD or REVERSE position
