STEPCHARGE COIL TEST
Ground Test

[2] 1Disconnect 5-pin Amphenol connector between ignition plate and power pack2Set peak-reading voltmeter to: 9.915"NEG" and "500" 20 thru 30"POS" and "500"
rJl 3Alternately, connect voltmeter between ignition plate connector terminals "A", "0", and clean
engine groundCrank engine and observe meter at each connection Any reading on either test indicates charge coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace charge coil
4If no reading is indicated in Step 3, go to Output TestOutput Test
