Ignition Plate Servicing20 thru 30 Removal 1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
2If equipped, remove the manual starterSee Section 73Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing
[]] 4Loosen the screws attaching the ignition plate to the retainer plateLift the ignition plate from the powerhead
5Remove the thrust washer from the ignition plate
[[] 6Remove the four screws retaining the pilot ring
7Remove the pilot ring and stepped washer
8Remove the spacer ring from the crankcase bossesRemove the retainerInstallation
1Place retainer plate on powerhead Place the spacer ring on the crankcase bosses
