Gl 1Tiller models -

turn the idle adjusting knob counterclockwise to the full SLOW position
f21 2Remote modelsback out the throttle arm stop screw until t=J throttle arm touches screw's mounting bracketrJl 3'Connect throttle shaft amplifierlike the one shown, to the carburetor throttle shaft4Advance the throttle by moving the throttle control lever until tip of the amplifier begins to moveAt this point, the cam follower should contact the cam between the two marks f51 5To adjust, loosen the screw retaining the adjustment lever to the throttle shaftSlide the adjustment lever up or down to make the adjustmentMaximum Spark Advance Run the engine with the proper test wheelDo not run the engine with propeller or flushing adapter for the adjustment1Connect timing light to the top cylinderStart the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature2Run the engine at full throttle in FORWARDThe engine timing mark must align with appropriate mark on the flywheel grid
