INote It is important that this step-by-step procedure be followed
in sequence and be performed exactly as written to ensure consistent engine idling and smooth operation throughout the RPM range
INote If equipped, remove both remote control cables from the
engine before performing these adjustmentsPreliminary Adjustments
1Tiller modelsTurn the idle adjusting knob counterclockwise to the full SLOW position
rn Remove the pin retaining the connector to the throttle lever
Turn the connector clockwise until it seatsTurn counterclockwise no more than one-half turn to align it with the throttle leverInstall the retaining pinThe throttle cable bracket must be flush with the inside edge of the threaded cableTo adjust, remove screw and turn bracketInstall screw
