2Apply OMC Adhesive sealant to the lower exhaust housing seals' inner surfacesPosition two new seals on the housingApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the seals' outer surfaces and position the housing on the gearcase3Rotate the propeller shaft and shift the gearcase to FORWARDSlide the gearcase into place, making sure the driveshaft engages the crankshaft, the water tube enters the water pump, and the lower inner exhaust housing does not slip out of position4Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads ofthe gearcase retaining screwsInstall the screws and tighten to the following torques:
