24Inspect the water intake screen for blockageRemove the screen by using one of the following methods: Depress tabs
Remove two screwsone on either side, and remove both water screen halvesPropeller Shaft Bearing Housing Service
1Remove the seal(s) using ONIC Puller Bridge, PI 432127, and ONIC Small Puller Jaws, PI 432131Position the plate on top of the housing to support the bridge, and tighten the jaws securely behind the lower sealreason, it must be discarded
1 Inspect bearings in placeIf bearing is removed for any Note
2Remove either bearing using ONIC Puller Bridge, PI 432127, and ONIC Large Puller Jaws, PI 432129Rest the puller plate on top the housing to support the bridge, and tighten the jaws securely behind the bearing3Discard the bearing housing O-ring(s)Clean the housing and bearings in solvent, and dry thoroughlyIf bearings were not replaced, rotate the needles with your fingers to check for freedom of movementInspect O-ring groove, and sand off any sharp edges that would cut O-ring and prevent its sealing
