Idle Timing
1Remove the rectifierregulator cover
2Disconnect the timing sensor plugAttach the OMC Ignition Analyzer from OMC Ignition Test Kit, PIN 434017, to the timing sensor
rn 3Move the analyzer selector switch to position:
4Connect the analyzer to 12-volt source5Loosen the timer base detent screw
6Move both the inside and outside detent tabs completely forward on the detent plate
[] 7Be sure the timer base lever is against stop on the flywheel cover[] 8Rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction until the timing pointer aligns with the idle timing listed in chartIdle Timing
