and the cable trunnion pocket before beginning this procedureTiming Pointer
1Prevent accidental starting of the engine; disconnect the spark plug leadsRemove the spark plugs
rn 2Remove the coverscrews retaining the timing wheel Remove the three cover3Center the timing pointerUsing wrench or socket, rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction until the cast-in TDC mark on the iming wheel is approximately in(25,4 mm) past the timing pointerINotel Rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction only
4Install OMC Piston Stop, PI 384887, in No spark plug hole and turn in center portion until it contacts the No.1 piston Lock the tool in place with its ringII
