1Using punch and mallet, drive the seal(s) out of the housingDiscard the seal(s)
2Remove the -ring from the bearing housing and discard3Clean the bearing housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal bore and the a-ring groove4Install seal(s) in bearing housingIf installing two back-to-back seals, use CJv1C Seal Installer, PIN 335823Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the metal casings ofthe seals before installingInstall the inner seal with flush lip facing toward the bearing housing, then the outer seal with extended lip facing away from the bearing housingApply CJv1C Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing
If installing an extended-lip seal, use CJv1C Seal Installer, PIN 342666Apply oil to the casing of the seal before installingInstall the seal with the exposed lip facing away from the bearing housingPress the seal into the housing until the tool seatsApply CJv1C Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing
