Unit Replacement 1Raise motor to full tilt position and engage tilt supportLower motor until tilt support rests on stern brackets2Remove cable from unitSee Cable Replacement, this section [!] 3Remove clip from upper tilt pinrnl 4Thread OMCSlide Hammer Adapter, PIN 340624, onto OMC Slide Hammer, PIN 391008Thread adapter into upper tilt pin and remove pinr,Q1 5Remove one of the 3f4 inlocknuts from the lower tilt pinRemove the pin from the stern brackets6Remove unit and bushings from stern brackets7To install the hydraulic unit, lubricate the cylinder and tilt pin bushings with OMC Triple-Guard greaseInstall the bushings8Position the hydraulic unit between the stern brackets9Lubricate the lower tilt pin with OMC Triple-Guard greaseInstall the pinTighten the locknuts to 20-25 ftIbs(27-34 Nm)10Lubricate the upper tilt pin with OMC Triple-Guard greaseAlign the cylinder with the swivel bracketInstall the cylinder pin
