Throttle Plate Synchron ization
121 1Loosen cam follower adjustment screw
follower away from throttle cam
and move cam
fJl 2Loosen carburetor lever adjustment screw on upper carburetor3Rotate both throttle shafts slightly and allow them to snap shutf41 4Press up gently on the adjusting tab and tighten the adjustment screw 5Verify that both throttle shafts begin to rotate at exactly the same timeCam Pickup Point 1Move the throttle cam and cam follower toward each otherr;;-] 2Tighten the cam follower adjustment screw when the cam and cam follower are just touching at the pickup mark :
The carburetor throttle plates must be closed The pickup mark must point to the center of the cam followerIdle Speed 1The boat and engine must be in the water under normal operating conditions with the correct propeller installedThe boat's movement must be unrestrainedThe boat must not be tied to dock or trailer2Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature3Check idle RPM in FORWARD gear with an accurate tachometer
